AMR,
the passion grows
"At
the age of 57, I have felt the need for a new challenge. This new scale
has been for me like a breath of fresh air" explained André-Marie
in february 2003. The change to use of resin is explained by the problems
encountered in molding white metal at 1 / 12 scale which proves to be
not only technically difficult but also financially prohibitive.
On close examination of the kit one sees all the high quality hallmarks
of AMR production. The change of material and size - nearly 40 centimeters
- has in no way affected the talent of the french modelmaker.
To keep the price reasonable he decided to limit the number of parts
and ancillaries. |
Composed of more than 100 pieces marrying accessories in white metal,
aluminium turned metal and of course photoetching, these kits meets
all the high standards. The addition of directionnaly front wheels also
adds an extra vitality to the models.
12 models expected
"The titans were 12 giants in the greek mythology.
For models of that size I think it is the right name''. laughs
André-Marie.
After the 275 GTB he's working on, AMR has planned a Moby Dick and the
Corvette Greenwood Spirit Of Le Mans 1976.
Just as the available Titan kits are, they will be availble painted
or not. |
