Fascinated from an early age by the world of automobile, André-Marie RUF launched himself in 1975 as AMR into the world of artisan miniature car fabrication . He was one of the veteran of the French model car scene.The style he acquired and refined, is known by collectors the world over and recognized at the first glance. In his own word he explained why :
''My goal is to create models that collectors are thrilled to have and that I am proud of. I work everyday so that to own a Ruf modelcar, becomes owning a true piece of art rather than owning a scale replica modelcar''.
 
He passed away august the 1st of 2004, aged 58. Bloody leukaemia ...

n°8 : 150 samples built in 1985 (showing here a paper label, but exists with aluminium label),
n°2 : 60 samples built in 1985, first known appeareance of the aluminium AMR/JPM plate,
n°3 : 150 samples built in 1986

Please note that the siez of the air intakes differs : a modification has been done while producing.

This Ford is one of the rare model made by AMR as commissioned by a private collector.
The wheelbase of the first serie produced (about 360 models including the kits) is engraved X-Domy.

With nearly 1000 kits produced between june 1985 and january 1986, the winning car (n°2 driven by Mc Laren & Amon) has been unsurprisingly the most sold.
